Toulouse, France—Airbus Industrie has begun flight testing its A300-600 transport in a 500-hr. program scheduled to lead to certification of the new A300 derivative in March, 1984. First flight was July 8 and lasted 4 hr. 35 min. Goal of the program’s first phase is to freeze the aircraft’s final configuration as rapidly as possible.
