Washington—Federal Aviation Administration will officially soon unveil the details of its comprehensive plan for minimizing the mid-air collision threat. The plan, involving both new airborne and ground-based elements, also is designed to minimize the additional avionics equipment cost for airspace users as a whole.

USAF Boosts Purchasing To Rebuild Tactical Wings

Washington—Air Force will begin increasing its aircraft procurement rate in the coming fiscal year to modernize and strengthen its force by adding aircraft at a level above 200 units per year. Emphasis also will be placed on research and development and service life extension improvements to aircraft in the inventory.
