It was concluded from the investigation and the data obtained from tests that the aircraft powerplants, airframe, electrical and pitot static instruments, flight controls, and hydraulic and electrical systems were not factors contributing to this accident.

Thruster Leaks Spur Skylab Rescue Plan

Houston—Reaction control system (RCS) thruster problems with the Rockwell International command/service module in orbit have prompted reconfiguration of the remaining Skylab Saturn 1B and Apollo spacecraft for space rescue. Kennedy Space Center scheduling of the next Skylab spacecraft had called for a readiness to launch by Oct. 10, but efforts now will be accelerated to a launch readiness date of Sept. 5.

Soviet Reversal Cancels Tours from U. S.

Boston—Plans by a U. S. tour organizer to penetrate the Russian charter market on a massive scale have been rejected by the Soviet Union after it gave earlier approval for a series of package tours designed to accommodate up to 16,500 tourists over a period of eight months.
