To obtain a type certificate for a fixedwing airplane, which has a weight in excess of 12,500 pounds, compliance must be shown with the provisions of Part 4b of the Civil Air Regulations. As a general rule the provisions of that Part which arc in effect on the date of application for a type certificate are the regulations applicable to the type.
