Dc-7c Propeller Loss Traced to Fatigue
No. 1 propeller of Scandinavian Airlines Flight 912, a DC-7C, Danish Registry OY-KNB, oversped about two hours after departure on a direct flight from New York, N. Y., to Copenhagen, Denmark. The flight, which had departed New York International Airport (Idlewild) at 15161 on Oct. 29, 1957, was diverted to Boston, Mass. where the crew of nine and 50 passengers deplaned safely.
