The meeting was held for 375 distributor and dealer personnel from the United States and 20 foreign countries at Wichita, Kans.

Such warnings were given by both industry and government speakers during the three-day meeting of fixed base operators, aerial applicators and air taxi operators.

The moon’s portrait taken by the ROTI Mk. II camera (AW Oct. 28, cover) has been the subject of considerable discussion in our office, at least, and in letters to your magazine. Aside from the technical quality of the photograph, a strange phenomenon has been generally noticed: the craters often appear as mounds instead of depressions, and often snap or “oil-can” back and forth from one shape to the other.

Helicopter Stabilization Gains Test Hours

Bridgeport Conn.—Complete handsoff stability for helicopters provided through an electronic system has been found feasible and reliable in large scale use in over 60,000 hr. of operation in 200 Navy helicopters. Reliability of this electronic automatic stabilization equipment (ASE) is indicated by the fact that it averaged more than 200 hr. use without a crab (malfunction of any type) and more than 800 hr. without complete loss of the system.
