Light Turboprop Runs on Liquid Hydrogen The first gas turbine engine powered by liquid hydrogen and intended for the light aircraft market has been demonstrated on the ground in France by a team from Turbotech, Safran and Air Liquide. Conducted under the French government-supported BeautHyFuel project, the tests were completed in September at Air Liquide’s Grenoble Technologies Campus but have only just been announced.
