Alenia Aeronautica CEO Giorgio Zappa said Alenia is considering a partnership along the lines of the U.S. Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program, with participating companies funding a share of the development phase-including a low-rate initial production batch of 12-15 aircraft-while being assured of retaining that role in production.
