Digital Camera Offers Near Real-Time Imagery

WASHINGTON The Tactical Airborne Digital Camera System being employed by F-l 4s on board the USS Saratoga is a technology demonstrator designed to provide near real-time imagery to battlefield commanders. Developed at the Naval Air Warfare Center's Aircraft Div. in Warminster, Pa., the system was deployed last year on the aircraft carrier USS America to gain some operational feedback.
