Your special report on the space shuttle transportation system (AW&ST NOV. 8, 1976) was impressive in its breadth and thoroughness. It epitomizes the editorial content and quality I have come to expect from your magazine. While reading this issue, I noticed (p. 41) that the load factor may only be 75% on early flights, leaving roughly 16,000 lb. of unused payload capacity for a 28-deg. inclination orbit, or 8,000 lb. for a 104-deg. inclination orbit (p. 97).
