Eglin AFB—Air Force’s fast-reaction Air Line of Communication (ALOC) delivery concept for troops and cargo is getting extensive field operational tests here by Tactical Air Command’s Tactical Air Warfare Center. Designed primarily to provide support for rapidly-moving, isolated or dispersed Army ground units, the ALOC philosophy encompasses a series of individual techniques that can be used separately or be melded to meet the evolving needs of a given tactical situation as it grows and takes definite shape.

Dallas—High-density 9-10 passenger version of twin-engine Beech Super 18 executive transport is undergoing an extensive demonstration tour of the Far East in an evaluation of the airline and charter market for this configuration. Sales program is aimed at promoting use of the Beech Super-Liner, as it is designated, as supplementary equipment to feed traffic economically to trunkline operations, or as primary equipment for establishment of new services in areas where relatively unsophisticated, easy-to-maintain equipment is needed while developing new passenger markets.
